Our selection of zinc plated chain fittings can be attached to zinc plated link chains and used with zinc plated straining screws to ensure maximum security when moving and lifting in harsher environments. Chains and fittings have been soaked in zinc, ensuring they are rust resistant and offer maximum quality for transport in varying environments – this process is called galvanisation.

These galvanised chains and fittings may be used in situations where components are likely to be more prone to rust, such as in marine and waterside industries or in countries where weather conditions are less than ideal and work isn’t protected from the elements. Long link chain galv is will be used to help increase safety, as they are less likely to weaken over time due to rust and damage, however short link chains are denser and can be stronger as they aren’t as loose.
